Who is Thomas?
Thomas, also called Didymus, is one of the Twelve apostles. When Jesus decides to return to Judea despite the danger, it is Thomas who says, 'Let us also go, so that we may die with Him.'
At the last supper, when Jesus speaks of going to prepare a place, Thomas asks how they can know the way, and Jesus answers that he is the way, the truth, and the life.
Thomas is absent when the risen Jesus first appears to the disciples, and he says he will not believe unless he touches the wounds. When Jesus appears again and invites him to do so, Thomas answers, 'My Lord and my God.'
