Who is Andrew?

Andrew is one of the Twelve apostles and the brother of Simon Peter, a fisherman from Bethsaida. He is first a follower of John the Baptist, and when John points to Jesus, Andrew follows him.

One of the first things Andrew does is find his brother Simon and bring him to Jesus. In another account, Jesus calls the two brothers together as they are casting their net into the Sea of Galilee, and they leave their nets to follow him.

Andrew appears at a few moments in the Gospels among the disciples, and he is listed among the apostles gathered after the resurrection.
