Who is Aaron?
Aaron is the older brother of Moses. When Moses hesitates to speak for God before Pharaoh, God appoints Aaron as his spokesman, and the two brothers confront Pharaoh together.
Aaron shares in the signs and plagues that lead Israel out of Egypt. He is later set apart, with his sons, as priests, and he becomes the first high priest of Israel.
While Moses is on the mountain, the people press Aaron to make them a god, and he fashions the golden calf, an act for which Moses confronts him on his return.
